Sam and Albert go to sea by Louise Elliott

Wombat Books, 2010. ISBN 9781921633089.
Highly recommended. This little book for early readers has enough repetition to make it easy to read along with delightful illustrations to aid decoding. It is a quaint story of a cat who wants to go to sea and his owner who keeps finding excuses not to. Sam nags Albert to take their boat out to sea on a daily basis but Albert always says no - until Saturday. They finally have a great day sailing, singing and splashing despite a number of accidents and then they plan to do it again.
